We are hoping to do the draw for the men’s competitions and mixed pairs on Sunday 20th June, which will be the first day for the weekly Sunday afternoon mixed league, starting at 2pm (weather permitting).

The singles and pairs will be ‘play by’ dates with two or three weeks for each round. The mixed competitions will be on Saturdays when we know there will be enough ladies present for the games to happen – these dates will be Saturday 10th and 31st July, also 7th and 21st August. These will be divided into morning and afternoon sessions, so everyone has a chance to attend. The draw will take place when we know who is available, at 10am and 1pm, with a lunch break in between.

Men’s competitions :- 4 wood Singles, Handicap singles (experienced players have to score a few more points than the newer players to win), Over 60 singles and Over 70 singles. Pairs, triples and fours.

Ladies competitions :-2 wood singles, 4 wood singles, Handicap singles, Unbadged singles (for members who have not been awarded a badge to be eligible to play for Cornwall), 2 wood pairs, 4 wood pairs and triples.

Mixed competitions :- Pairs, triples and fours.

Even if you have not paid in advance, if you find yourself free on any of the above Saturdays, please come along as we may need an extra player to make up a team on the day. If you have any questions please contact the people arranging the club competitions – Angie Bennetts, Jonathan Curtis or Rose Clegg, by email to stivesbowlingclub@gmail.com through our website www.stivesbowlingclub.org.uk or via Facebook.
